About Us
Fiona Skjaerbaek - Owner
Hi, I’m Fi 👋
I’ve been working in bookkeeping and payroll for over 15 years, and in that time I’ve supported businesses of all shapes and sizes — from small family-run ventures to larger organisations and not-for-profits. What I’ve learned is that good bookkeeping isn’t just about numbers on a page. It’s about trust, clarity, and giving business owners the peace of mind to focus on what they do best.
I’m detail-oriented (some might say a little obsessed!) when it comes to keeping accounts accurate and compliant. Whether it’s reconciling payroll, preparing BAS, or untangling a tricky set of books, I genuinely enjoy finding the neatest, most efficient way to make the numbers line up.
Clients often tell me they appreciate not just my accuracy, but also the way I explain things in plain English. I believe financials shouldn’t feel overwhelming or confusing — they should give you confidence and help you make informed decisions.
Outside of the spreadsheets, I value building strong, respectful relationships. Integrity, reliability, and clear communication are at the heart of how I work. I stay up to date with changing regulations and software, so you can be sure the systems you rely on are always compliant and running smoothly.
At the end of the day, my goal is simple: to make your accounts “sweet” — accurate, stress-free, and a solid foundation for your success.

Lucy Barker - Bookkeeper
Lucy is one of the friendly faces behind the day-to-day operations at Sweet Accounts. As a bookkeeper, she looks after the practical, behind-the-scenes work that keeps our clients’ businesses running smoothly — from processing invoices and preparing payroll, to reconciling bank accounts and pulling together reports that show how a business is really tracking.
With experience in finance roles since 2007, Lucy brings a strong and well-rounded skill set to the team. Her background includes accounts payable and receivable, trust accounting, cash-flow reporting, and everything in between, supported by her Bachelor of Commerce, which she completed in 2011.
What Lucy enjoys most about her work is the variety and the opportunity to support small businesses at every stage. Whether she’s double-checking a GST calculation or compiling a weekly report, she approaches each task with care and precision. She’s especially known for her attention to detail and her commitment to making sure clients can rely on their numbers — because when you’re pouring your heart and soul into your business, your finances should feel like the steady, stress-free part.
Outside of work, Lucy loves spending time with her husband and whirlwind toddler son. You might also find her gardening, getting lost in a good book, or browsing her favourite op shops.
She lives by the quote, “Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible,” and brings that same kindness and thoughtfulness into every client interaction. And just in case you’re wondering — she may not love tomato sauce on hot chips, but she’s always happy to go the extra mile for our clients 😊
